PERSIST project studies the links between the dynamics of a system and the appearance, presence and persistence of some of its properties.

Several concepts concern this problem. The ambition is to make these concepts operational by identifying formalisms in which mathematical definitions can be proposed and the conditions under which evaluations are possible.
The issues are the study of the viability of environmental systems and the facilitation the sustainable management of ecological and social systems.
